Refurbished Monitors?

At $999 getting a X34 Predator is a pretty good deal. But in the refurbished details it says 60hz. So can it still OC to 100hz? Also are these just all the monitors with horrible backlight bleed people send back?

From what I've heard, refurbished monitors can range from things that were tested and repaired to manufacturer spec, things that were simply returned for whatever reason, sometimes unopened, and perhaps things like backlight bleed. I don't know if Acer would re-sell a monitor without fixing the backlight bleed, but it may be worth a try.

It has the Amazon warranty and a 90 day Acer warranty so what do I have to loose?

if someone buys a monitor and returns it with no fault, these are often classified as refurbished, as they are sent to be tested and then shipped to a 3rd party seller as technically they're no longer new. 

 

in the case of the x34 it would more than likely have been sent back for back light bleed issues. which would be a simple fix and tested. 

 

I just picked up am x34.. and I say buy it!! it's awesome

i got a Acer XB240H Refurbished from Amazon that was done by Acer and everything seems to be fine :) just the packing was a bit bad but the screen looks good with no Back-light bleed or makes even had new Plastic on the Glossy Plastic parts.

I bought one from amazon, it is on its way and I am so stoked!! but if you/I'm displeased, on amazon you can return it within 30 days for your money back, which I have done before on a bad ssd
