29" Ultrawide 1080p monitor worth it?

JorenBus

I've heard people say that 27" 1080p is too pixelated, but how about 29" 2560x1080 monitor?

It has more pixels, so it shouldn't be pixelated at all when I sit at normal distance right?

an ultrawide is the same as a 24" 1080p monitor, but with extra pixel at the side so its fine

Alright, now I'm just making up my mind if it's really worth the €100 extra compared to a normal 24" screen.

IMO if you are comfortable with a standard 24" screen, you will love a 29" UWS. If a 24" feels too small, and you're more of a 27" kind of person, then the 34" UWS is where you want to be at 1440p and then it may be worth putting back more money and waiting since they are coming down in price.

I run 3 24" 3D 144 hz monitors in surround, but I do use a 29" LG Ultrawide as my accessory monitor (formerly it was my main / only monitor and I loved it for a smaller workstation).

It's really worth it, honestly. Going back to a normal 16:9 monitor now feels like I've got blinders on, like my peripheral vision is gone. A 29" UW is perfect if you want more space but don't have the budget or room for triple monitors.

Would this one be any good? It's the cheapest one I could find.
