Are ratchet screwdrivers any good, and if they are, where can I get one?

Hi.

 

I've seen a lot of ratchet screwdrivers pop up everywhere and people say they're amazing.

 

I am in the market for a good screwdriver with thin heads (something as small as like Torx T6 and Phillips #00 (possibly even #000)) and I see a lot of ratchet screwdrivers.

 

My question is: are they any good? Especially for working on small electronic devices (like laptops) plus using them for bigger things like screws for motherboard standoff screws etc.

They are both good and bad. I have a ratchet screwdriver and I love it for certain thing but hate it for others. They work best for smaller screws like in computers but suck for long screws like found in Ikea furniture. You can find them in local hardware stores or online but I like the in-store experience because you can try them to see what they are like. I recommend getting a ratchet driver kit and a standard screwdriver kit for all possible scenarios.
