The series is code named Volcanic Islands & the red lines coming out of the blower fan are meant to represent the lava of an active volcano, while the blower fan is meant to resemble the crater of the volcano. The red lines illuminate once the card is installed in a system.

That's a one sexy card O.o

This^

AMD has not disappointed.

Source?

Irrelevant. It looks too real to believe otherwise. And we will know in exactly 3 hours and 26 minutes, so meh.

I will just believe this is real until proven otherwise because it is sooo sexy. :D

It looks the same to me as every other AMD card.

Then again so does Nvidia cards except the recent change in reference casing.

Never been a fan of red + black. But green + black is no better.

It's real, I tweeted it & AMD's VP Roy Taylor re-tweeted it.

I think that's the first time I've seen something on a PCB that isn't 90 degrees or 180 degrees flat parallel / perpendicular.

A random memory module turned at 45 degrees?

I wish they put a glowing logo or something on top end of the card ala nVidia. I mean the fascia is cool and all, but you won't see it even If you have a transparent case panel.

I always like to wait for non-reference models, very excited to see what Sapphire is going to do, their Vapor-X series looks really cool & has a pretty cool glowing logo too.

Wow that made me pretty disappointed. It's basically the same model with some spiral red. Hope they don't use this as the upcoming cards, this design makes the card looks waaayyy hotter than it should be.

It's a volcano spouting lava.

Kevin-Butler-Mind-Blown.gif

Note that image has a double meaning. My mind is blown because I did not realize that at first, and it is Kevin Butler simulating the Volcano blowing up and spewing lava.

So yeah. Pretty relevant.

Lol that's another reason to put red plastics to a volcanic themed card, not red led, not the gpu series.
