and no it isn't just this person

It happens a lot even with people with pictures

When I refresh my page, it's still there, when I restart firefox it's still there

When I reboot it's still there

It has nothing to with my add-ons or theme

I refreshed FireFox

Can you access https://abs.twimg.com/sticky/default_profile_images/default_profile_1_normal.png in Firefox? That is where that image is hosted. If not, it might be some sort of web filter that's blocking you.

But I'd force this issue to moders, 'cause it's not your problem at all, that u can't fully use this forum functionality just because your browser is not chrome (but still is a modern browser). Kinda weird.

Yeah. I have no idea why it's not showing up normally then, but it's almost certainly not a forum issue.

nah, I really do not like the minimise close and maximise buttons

I also hate the big fat blue bar at the top

it looks waay to modern for what my shitty PC is

 

plus moving over to chrome will be a pain in the ass

there are also ://flags experimental settings that allow you to use a modern flat theme which looks awesome

 

moving to chrome is not a pain in the ass

it takes literally two clicks and chrome imports all your settings, bookmarks, and passwords from another browser

It's most definitively something on your end, it's not the forums fault and it's likely not Firefox's either. Do you use any plugins that might cause it?

 

Try disabling them just to see if that helps. I know that I can get similar issues (not on here though) with the Https everywhere plugin. If something is being retrieved from an external source that doesn't use https but the website I'm on does, it will block that external connection (for security reasons) and not show certain pictures for example.

Probably is me, but I re-installed firefox, refreshed it, used the forums with no add-ons or anything

That's really strange. If you open the dev tools (Ctrl+Shift+K) then load a thread with his profile picture, what is logged? (Some errors that can be logged are unrelated).

Also a nice theme is Dark Horizon for Chrome as Enderman already posted my topic, that is the theme shown with material design flags all enabled and stuff. Looks really nice and is my go to choice otherwise at school we can't have themes so I just enabled material design inside chrome://flags
