HDMI audio from PC to AVR-X2200W cuts after few seconds

So, I have this issue were, if I set my HDMI audio out as default in Windows, sound will work, at first, for a few seconds. But then it cuts out. I can get it back, for a few seconds again, if I change format, say from 24bit 48kHz to 24bit 44.1kHz. But it never stays.

Worth noting: Playing sound with passthrough works completely fine. I've used the receiver for months now with Kodi as my media player on my PC. Sound can drop out sometimes, but just pause and resume the video will restore it, I can go whole movies without this happening though.

You can see my whole system spec in my sig, but I'm using R9290X Lightning with 15.2.1 Drivers (had this issue in all drivers since I bought the receiver in January). There are no with sound from ARC, Wii U, or UHD Blu-ray player.
(But I don't get sound from my TV-tuner. But I think that's a separate issue. I don't really use it anyways)

Reinstall your drivers. Im guessing it will be your graphics card drivers as thats where the HDMI port is. Also, if you can, try another cable if you have one. Does this happen only on Kodi or  does this just happen on all sound on the computer?

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I had similar issues with my Yamaha receiver and my PC, where the sound was interrupted every so often. But it would always return. I purchased new HDMI cables and that helped reduce the severity.

Come to think of it, this issue was completely solved for me after I upgraded to Windows 10.

I have reinstalled drivers several times since it started, also did a fresh OS install on Sunday

I've had Windows 10 since last summer, and did a reinstall on Sunday. The cable is also new.
I'll try to mess around much more myself today, as I'm planning on player FFX HD on my TV

I'm actually not sure. For a period, I did use a different port than the one I'm using now, but I can't remember if I ever tried anything else than bitstreaming while using it. I'll do that as one of my tests

Funnily enough, when testing now, I don't get the issue... Well, I guess that's kinda positive. My QA senses are tingling

I've had the audio drop out sometimes, but I can't find any real cause to it. Tried many different formats, tried disabling "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". I've disabled enhancements. It doesn't cut out as fast, right now I've had it going for several minutes without a hitch
