Gigabyte GTX 1080 Founders Edition

dreamhacking

Well, Giagbyte, Asus, MSI. It doesn't make a difference with the founders edition, they're all the same card.

Still disappointed with the cooler. Was looking forward to something new.

Lol, I will never throw a pc component box again. If you want to resell the component when upgrading or something it's a bonus if you've kept the box and all additional items. So I guess If you don't have an attic and can't put it there it's something nice in your room. :)

i have 2 closets full of boxes at home with the mindset that if i ever sell it it has more value with the box. reality is that the boxes are in the closet for a solid 3-4 years and i never sell the stuff. (except iPhone/ipad/macbook and sort boxes i don't trow out and resell)

yeah its great

I never throw my boxes away. Some I actually display, if they look nice.

When you get something like EVGA's Signature edition box, it's too nice to bin.

(not my box, but I have one on a shelf)

If you are me and you spend all your money all the time on stuff,  you learn to just let the boxes go

I keep SOME for high value items, or items I KNOW I will be selling

Otherwise, they go in the bin

looks like you won't be seeing any $599 cards at launch only the founders edition for $699 then 2-4 month later you will see the "founders edition" magically become a reference card for $599

Well if what they are claiming is true, I would gladly pay 450$ for 1070 card.

But that will be price from nvidia, and before this card gets to my country ... I expect to see 1070 in my country like 3 weeks after release for 600€. And no I'm not joking. That's what I acctually expect.

why would pay $450 for a reference cooler when you can have ACX cooler once its released for less.

Because it might be 2 or 3 months before we see ACX coolers.

And noone said they will cost less. 380$ is just expected price.

I keep all of my boxes for the most part, because I tend to sell most things I own, especially tech. I use the funds to help fund the new tech :)
