Will the gtx 1070 have memory bandwidth issues?

Sense Nvidia is calming that a Gtx 1070 will have the raw performance of a Titan X how is it supposed to keep up with only a 256 GB/sec. You may get the full 8 gigs of ram this time but it that doesn't mean ram won't be an issue anymore.

We dont have the block diagram for the small pascall chips, and how the 1070 is cut down from the 1080, so there is really no way to tell weather the core has a full link with the memory quite yet.

Time will tell, but it wasent a large issue the 970, and I doubt the 1070 will handle any game that will use anywhere near the full 8gb of vram, so it will be even less of an issue.

GTX 1080 = 9 TFLOPs with 320GB/s
GTX 1070 = 6,5 TFLOPs with *256GB/s
1070 will be less bandwidth starved than 1080 (at least from pure power/bandwidth standpoint).

*256-bit bus

Will the USD increase or decrease in value compared to the CAD in 2 weeks? Will Intel stock rise 10 days from now?

The question you asked and the above questions are in the same category, they can't be answered without the ability to see future.

Something to keep in mind is Nvidia uses a proprietary coding to make memory bandwidth far more efficient. Hence a 4gb 960 only slightly bottlenecking on its 128bit bus, where as if AMD attempted to do the same you'd see significant impacts.

So 256bits should be "enough" for 8gbs. Especially given the speed of the vram modules.

Yep most Youtubers probably already have their videos done or almost done and will upload them that day, I always find it fun to make predictions and see what was right or wrong.
