its a dual core CPU. its at 100% load in any newer game. its not even the choice for people with pure gaming rigs. get yourself 4690k or 4790k bro. its an awesome chip for the money but its seriously not up to the par of real-time frame encoding while rendering a game and various other things. upgrade if you ever want to record at all. or use your GPU to record.

1. Your build is hugely bottlenecked by your potato

2. Its a dual core cpu, as far as I know CS:GO uses cpu more than gpu.

3. Screen recording usually takes up alot of cpu usage, dropping frames.

Go out and buy a used i5, it will preform MUCH BETTER.

Use Shadowplay or OBS to record. This is why people cant have nice things because they are idiots when it comes to spending each amount in the right place. You spent $200 on a cooler instead of the Cpu *facepalm*

Sell the cpu and cooler and buy a i5, and it shouldn't tank as badly.

If for some reason you want to keep the cooler and cpu try to use Nvidia shadow play.

CPU: i5 6600k OCed to 4.5Ghz @ 1.35v, GPU: R9 390 Nitro, Motherboard: Asus z170-A, CPU Cooler: H100i GTX, RAM: HyperX 2x8 16gb DDR4, PSU: Seasonic x650, Storage: 850 EVO 500gb, WD 1tb blue, Case: H440 White/Black

Onboard Intel Quicksync will do it at similar performance levels to shadowplay if your 970 can't be used.

Recording to the save drive as your game is on, is also a negative towards performance, if thats the case here too.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

  1. i5 4670K are the worst
  2. i7 4690K should be good for gaming for quite a while
  3. i7 4790K will last even longer than 4690K when it comes to playing games
  4. I can say right now that you should have asked around first before deciding on parts

IMO get the processor first then Gpu as the Pentium will still bottleneck the hell out of a 1070.

Well you plan to get the cpu at the end of the year and the gpu in about a month, you'll still be stuck with a pentium and a high end card that will be bottle necked to shit for about 6 months. 11/10 plan IGN.

Maybe you should consult the forums before making any PC part purchases.

So you decided to get a devils cannon (2014) in 2017? And pair that with a 1070? Why skip devils cannon and skylake for cannonlake and get better fps?

Also, as I said earlier 970 still kicks ass why do you even need a 1070?

Ok so the reason why im getting a 4th gen cpu at the end of the year and not a skylake is because i DONT HAVE MONEY. Also if i get an new cpu then i have to buy new ram and also a new MOBO and i spent $200 on a decent mobo!

You don't know how to spend your money correctly if you did you would focus your funds on getting a skylake CPU instead of wasting it on a 1070 when you already have a 970, you also bought a G3258, a $200 cooler and a $200 mobo, now that's a clear example that you have no idea what to do with the money  you receive.
