The general idea is that if you're not experiencing any issues with your current BIOS version, don't bother.

It is safe to update your bios. Do it if you feel like you need a newer version of the bios or your CPU/motherboard is acting up and you limited it to it being your motherboards bios.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

if it's not broken don't fix it...you just risk messing it up.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 2 VR

its only safe to update it if the newer chips you put in it dont work, then you need to update it.

An older bios version of my Z77 motherboard didn't allow me to overclock my i7 3770k

Only when it isn't working or just takes forever to boot up. It's safe unless you put wrong files in wrong places or just turn off the power when updating..

I need S340. But more Define S'ish
