Hello boys
my macbook died the other day.

take into consideration that i also have a powerfull desktop for heavy duty
My needs: Word, excel etc
Video Prod ( Premier pro or final cut)
A litlle bit of gaming when im out of town
and also for game dev. and animation. Mostly Maya 3ds and unreal engine.

Do you have something to suggest?

I have a wide budget. I was thinking about a macbook again or a razer blade(?)

Avoid Razer unless you want an overheating mess.

My advice is the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro

if you are a serious video editor, I would go for the Macbook. Final Cut Pro is a joy to use on the hardware.

Install windows using bootcamp and enjoy a bit of gaming as well. If you are going to game on it, i highly recommend this step. A few extra frames when gaming on W10 as compared to OSX

Please vote for Donald Trump. I am out of sitcoms to watch.

When lyfe gives you HDDs, make SSDs

Why not the MSI titan aka the gs80

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

These are all great choices.

P.S. What ever you do, don't pick the Core series of laptops on their site, they are rebrands of the Gigabyte P series, which thermals are horrendous.

Yeah it seems to be too much. Thats pretty good hardware, dont get me wrong. If you're okay with spending that much, then go for it. But im sure you'll get something cheaper that fits your requirements.
