Trouble with fan speeds

Hey LTT,

So i just built a new PC last night (Asus X99-A mobo with a 5820K and a Corsair H100i v2 AIO). Starting it up today I realized the fans were really loud. I went into the BIOS to have a look and here's what I found:

The water pump (CPU fan header) runs at 950 RPM on DC mode. I have both 120mm fans run off the CPU opt fan header off a splitter. From what I've read, the CPU opt fan header mimics the CPU fan header, but both fans run at 1800 RPM (noticeably loud). If i turn the CPU fan header to PWM (both the water pump and two fans are 3 pin), the water pump shoots up to 1400 RPM but the fans turn down to 900. Noticeably quieter, but I can definitely hear the pump.

Any ideas as to what I can do to get both the water pump and fans to run about the same speed on a normal fan curve?

Try using speedfan or a fun utility and adjust until you get everything where you want it
