Moding the k533's cord?

Hello! I was wondering about Moding the massdrop AKG k533's cord, so it was detachable. Does any one know where I could buy just a female cord, to connect to the cord attached to the headphones atm (I would shorten the current to about an inch). Also, would it be better to buy a male cord, or just a male end to connect the old cable?

you mean a female jack right? Those you can buy on amazon.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...
