in terms of prices they are almost the same

in terms of gaming performance they are pretty much identical

chose whichever is cheaper or looks better,

watch youtube unboxings and reviews for both - what do people say about cooling and build quality

I forgot to say that the acer predator has in fact 6GB of Vram vs 3Gb (msi)

Both are very similar, but the Predator is heavier and has got that cooling thingy. Watch some reviews of both and throw a coin.

what I don't like about the predator is that it has a 60Hz screen with no G-sync...

but...but...but...a 970m doesn't really need 6GB of Vram so in the end, does it matter?? :/

if he MSI has a g-sync 60hz display then go with the MSI but if one of them is an IPS panel then take the IPS panel over basically anything as colours=better experience for everything :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Just slap V-sync on it and it will be fine. With a 970m you won't be gaming at 244Hz

by itself it doesn't

but are you okay with replacing your gaming laptop in a year or two?

are you okay to play games with low textures in a year or two?

there is a reason why mobile chips are equipped with higher amounts of VRAM - to make the machine last for 4~5 years

I'd go with the MSI. I've had a ton of luck with them here in the US and their customer service has been pretty damned good. Hopefully its the same in your country.

The MSI comes with a LOT better customer support - Acer really fail at that. I'd suggest the GT72 - it also has a better keyboard
