Hello, I'm in the market for headphones around $120. I was wondering what people think the k553's. How would they compare to m50x's and other headphones at this price? What about DT770's?

Good construction, decent comfort, many find that they have a very "open" sound for a closed-back.

 

I'd definitely recommend them over the M50X, and possibly the DT770. That is more a matter of taste and needs.

no most likely not.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC
