fix broke plastic headset

That13thGuy

My headset has a crack in its plastic framing and I'm wondering what the best way would be ot fix it? Pictures of the crack are down below. I don't have a lot of money to spend so a nice home-DIY solution would be nice! If anyone is interested it's a Roccat Kave true 5.1 surround sound headset, the first edition, so it's pretty old but I love it to depth so I really want to fix it.

As you can see in the picture everything still works, you just can't wear it.

Thanks in advance,

That13thGuy

gluing the crack shut doesnt work, and duct tape made the head set too loose, but do you think using a small piece of either plastic or metal inbetween the headset and the tape will keep it strong?

hmm. its hard to explain xD  I would make a small piece of metal with 2 holes bend it around the broken piece and on the other side a small screw trough the holes of the metal so it pulls everything together.. I rly should draw it for you xD

edit.. bolt and nut,  not screw xD sry forgot about that

so the metal wraps around the crack tightly? that could work. One more thing: how about this thing called sugru? It's basically clay that hardens into some form of plastic, it's really cool. Here's a link: https://sugru.com/about . Would that work in my case?

ohh yeah... you could try that too.. just fill in the clay and press it together, or even make a ring around it.. but first clean the glue from before :P

Uhh try jet glue. It won't hold forever, but you may get a week or so out of it. If super-glue had a super-glue above it, it would be jet glue.

Those headphones look dead already, might as well just get new headphones.
