Mining- No GPU?

Just started running this mining program, minergate, and it says my gpu- an r9 280- isn't supported. Anyone know why?

If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

I guess it is not a great program? You will end up losing money if you use GPU mining anyway.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

what are you mining if i may ask? also you will probably loose money no matter what you mine so just keep that in mind.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Because the power consumption from the GPU (yes those couple dollars/year) will not be paid off by the profit from mining because it has become that difficult due to warehouses filled with specially made mining devices competing with you.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
