When Windows 10 is free its because we are the product. Thats fine if you know what to turn off to minimize what gets sent back to MS, but when they force their shitty products like bing and edge down our throats if we want to use cortana, thats it for me. There is a reason i upgraded to windows 7.

When Windows 10 costs 130$, you still are the product

yes, but chrome and firefox are way better than edge. microsoft needs to stop trying to be the next google. they are NEVER, EVER, EVER, gonna get there.

Meh. Opera is better than both. Chrome can crap out when opening like 40 tabs or more, specially with infinite Twitter scrolls (I swear their site sucks performance wise) and uses more CPU and RAM than Opera. Even tried Firefox it just doesn't handle multitasking well. I tend to multitask quite a lot and Opera works faster in every way with less resources. Really feel it's underrated web browser.

Well it's expected, Cortana, Edge, Bing together. They want them to work together for a reason and consumers may not care much if it works well for them.

But yeah, having options is always great.

I can understand them forcing you to use Bing but forcing you to use Edge is dumb. On another note, both Apple and Google don't let you select your search engine for their voice assistants either. Apple forces you to use Bing (and also Safari for browser) with Siri and Google forces you to just use Google with Google Now.

Honestly i expected they did this weeks post last year launch, kinda surprised they actually did it this late though even if they are forcing it to bing they at least should keep using the default browser, i guess this is the only way to effectively stop redirects.

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

Disgusting. First, microsoft wants to shove windows 10 down my god damned throat, and now they want to tell ME to use fucking Bing and Edge, two of the shittiest products ever made by fucking microsoft, as the fucking default? sorry cortana, but fuck you, if you want to search, you ABSOLUTELY HAVE  to use fucking chrome and google. fuck you bing. fuck you windows edge.

They are fucking awesome. I am sorry if you don't like them. Microsoft has certain Target markets in mind with these products. You just might not be their target audience.

I'm inclined to say that Microsoft treats you like the Customer. Google on the other hand treats you like a product.

People use Cortana? I've never felt the need to even open it, only clicked on it by accident.
