Weird smartphone battery behaviour?

So I was having dinner when I noticed my phone reboot."Whatever", I thought to myself as it happens from time to time, it's probably just nightly CM13 being itself. Anyway, when it turned back on I noticed my battery life was ~18%. I was very surprised, since a few minutes earlier I must have had ~55%. Then I noticed my batter percentage going up and up ever since, without actually charging the device. Right now it's at ~25%. This is something I noticed before, the battery percentage going up without actually charging the phone, but it's usually when it's really low ( < 10% or so ) and the battery saver kicks in, even though that should make no difference, but hey, I've never had any problem with it. The way the battery percentage dropped when that reboot happened worries me.

I think I'm going to calibrate my battery, just for the sake of doing it. I hope there's nothing wrong with the battery itself though.

How old is your battery? Worn out batteries display a range of confusing behaviours, and have low capacity.
