Today is a very special day folks... The PC that started it all!! This is the recreation of the very first PC that Linus EVER built.

 

 

i can feel your pain.

i have one 2500+ too, oc on 2,1ghz running on my Asus a7nbx-e Deluxe with (funny but yes) 2gig dualchannel 400mhz samsung ram.

sad that yours doesnt running out of box but i think you have forgotten that the barton not all the newest is (try installing only the damn opera, yes the web browser, try it and you know what you forgot) got same isues with bluescreens but theyre software related and ubdates  for direktX and these, are creating them.

You are not that old.  First pc for me was a c64, if you forgoe the whole IBM standards thing.My first IBM style pc was a 186 running DOS.  I remember when the 486 came out, seemed a quantum leap jump from the 386, I remember telling my dad that, computing had hit its zenith.  That now we had all this power, why would anyone else buy a newer machine, when this was so powerful.  He reminds me of this on a regular basis, as one of my less correct statements.
