2 "Gaming PC" 1 CPU

I'll be moving in with a friend soon and we will be sharing a room. This brings up some space issues since she only has 1 desk and currently uses a laptop. I remembered the video Linus did about the 2 gaming rigs 1 CPU.  I'm on sort of a budget but I can still spend some money on it. Is there any way I can build this on an amd based system and if so what parts should I go for? We don't really do hardcore gaming mostl league of legends and some emulations of older games. Thanks for any help in advanced.

eh, better for you to go have 2 very small pcs instead of 1 pc with virtualisation as the maintanence is much harder.

For now only price of components as monitor and peripherals we already own. OS I have 2 copies of Windows 10. The budget if under 1500 would be great but no more than 2000. The countrybisbthe United States.

How big is the room? How wide is the desk?

If possible you should build 2 rigs, it's much more convenient

that 950 is for just in case he wanted to play other games, and an apu isn't much good for anything other than light gaming.

I'd pick 2 PCs honestly, those games doesn't require a lot though in that budget you can fit two of these:

In case you're wondering, that PSU is the bulk version of the great G series, but without paint and comes in a brown box instead of a fancy package. Though even APUs would be enough

And here's an emulated similar performer:

I picked the e3 1245 v5 so you can have iGPU JIC you need a management console, and still cheaper than i7 but you can see the price is about the same. Also added ECC RAM cause the CPU and chipset supports it and because why not? :P

and if he wanted to play any other more demanding games? gratz, the apu wouldn't be able to play at decent settings. and he has WAY more than enough budget for it.
