More reason to get PS4 (Free Games :D)

PlayStation 4 exclusive Deep Down to be free-to-play, well now we have more reason to buy a PS4

Capcom has announced at Tokyo Game Show 2013 that its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Deep Down will be free-to-play.

The news comes from a tweet sent out by Sony's president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida. The Sony executive also mentioned that Capcom's fantasy role-playing game is scheduled to arrive as an open beta "near the launch of the PS4 in Japan."

This would mean that Deep Down's open beta will release sometime near February 2014, as Sony announced that its upcoming console will hit stores in Japan some three months after it becomes available in Europe and North America.

Deep Down will feature procedurally generated dungeons and runs on Capcom's new Panta Rhei engine. Earlier this month, producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed that despite the dark fantasy environments, the game will in fact take place in New York circa 2094.

PS+ is a great value. As both a PS3 and Vita owner, I've got hundreds of dollars worth of games for a single fee of $50. That pales in comparison to any other platform for value.

meanwhile, there's still PS3 exclusives coming out. I'm gonna SQUEEZE out everything from 'current gen' (ahem 7 year old) consoles before anything.

But they may implement something similar into the Xbox One? I've not read anything about the next gen consoles, I'm not really interested.

They haven't announced any intentions to.

 

Keep in mind that the PlayStation 4's DualShock 4 was redesigned to work well with FPS games based upon continuous feedback from FPS game developers. It's larger, more ergonomic and made out of a more comfortable material to hold - a lot of reviewers are already saying that it is a significant improvement upon the previous DualShock 3 controller.

 

And a controller should be irrelevant, really. You can buy third party controllers for either console which can be more reliable and comfortable.
