Thanks to my new ethernet cable, my Internet speeds jumped quite a bit :D

Was using a 10/100 Cat5(?) cable before, and upgraded to a 10/100/1000 Cat6 cable. Before I would get well, around the same speeds, but my upload would only go up to 20 or 25. Now I'm getting about 40 upload.

 

The funny thing is that the plan we have with Fios gives us 75 down, 35 up, so I'm getting more than advertised. Yay!

So what are your Internet speeds?

upgrading ur ethernet shouldnt have an effect  if ur not exceeding 100mbps

Wasn't Cat5e not good enough for you? 

 

Also, when i moved over from wireless to cable, it doubled both my up and download.

My Internet speed is 2.20Mb/s Download and 0.36Mb/s upload :(
It really sucks because its holding my PC back.

But im getting next month 50Mb/s :D

Only thing is on VM you only get 10% upload to download ratio....
