In your notification settings you appear to have it set to "One email per week with all new content from that week" in the method for automatically following - you probably want to change that to "A notification when new content is posted".

You can either not follow members, or, on the same notifications settings page, uncheck everything on the "Someone I follow posts a new status" row.

When I post something, it's set to automatically follow however I get no notifications about replies.

When I get quoted, it works fine.

Also, is it possible to not follow status updates? I hate seeing them in my notification tray.

Check on how you notification settings are. You might have clicked on some tab to not show notifications for followed content. Tagging and quoting are different option, thats why they do work. Also, you can set to not receive notifications for status updates.

Thanks, not sure how I didn't see that earlier.

Is there a setting that lets me stay logged in? Seems I get logged out when I change devices (PC to laptop).

That's a known bug. If you log into all devices within a week, you will then remain logged into all of them until you log out or log into another device.
