Posted April 14, 2016 Does soundproof foam really work and is it worth the money? My room where i do my gaming is one floor down from a bedroom and two rooms away from another bedroom and it seems i have to whisper in my microphone (or be more quiet than usual) and not do anything else that doesnt consist of headphones, so i see this as being a good thing if it does end up working. Also how would you put the foam up on the wall or anything else?
Posted April 14, 2016 Soundproof foam works and is worth it but if you don't really need it its a waste of money. But if you really need it its very good and does its job! Posted April 14, 2016 It's called acoustic foam, it helps stop echoing. It's not for soundproofing.

This is why music creators have this installed, to re-direct sound from bouncing of the room. Sound-proofing is used during the construction of houses. Sound treatment on the other hand is much more attainable, though it can still be pricey in some situations, especially if low-frequency treatment is required.
