Mousepad for optical mouse?

SocomSuade

Hard or soft?

Ready to buy Steelseries QCK mini but I heard hard pads are better for optical mouse?

#1 priority is having a small pad does anyone make a hard pad mini?

If so is hard better than soft?

I have ECTechnology 8200dpi mouse.

Is there any specific reason why you want a small mousepad?

I bought a QCK mini myself when I was making my setup (thinking the size was fine), and regret it now.

PC Specs: i5 4690k, MSI Z97 Gaming 5, HyperX Red 16Gb (4x4), Define R5, EVGA G2 750, Samsung 850 Evo 120gb + WD Blue 1TB, MSI TF5 GTX 970.

Peripherals: 1 x Asus VX239H, Logitech G502, Masterkeys Pro S, Superlux HD668B.

Yeah I have a really small desk with one of the keyboard drawers that slide out? I use my mouse there and not much room at all.

i did end up ordering the Dota 2 graphics QCK mini.

I'm using a cheap perixx extended mousepad with my Steelseries rival 100.

I don't see any noticable jitter, it glides nice, sensor works fine on csgo at my low dpi.

They're no Razer/steelseries etc. stamp of quality, but they do the job fine when it comes to mousepads imo.

Here are a few of their cheap mousepads
