More GTA 5 Leaked Code shows PC Version is the base version and is finished.

Anult

So the same guy responsible for leaking the existence of a PC Version of GTA 5 in the 360 code has now also revealed that the PC version is the BASE VERSION of the game.

This means that the current gen console versions that just got released are technically ports from the PC Version. There are also additional features and extra content that will be exclusive to the PC Version.

He also revealed that the game is practically finished and ready to go. Hopes are high now that the game will be out before the holiday season.

I am very excited now for the PC version of the game to be released sooner rather than later.

its easier for Devs to make the game on PC then port it over to console.... this has been true since Pong

All devs do these days are dumb the graphics down to work on console easier, then they spend a bit more time fine tuning it to work on PC better and fit the range of Low spec all the way up to high spec PC's.

atleast with Next gen console this doesnt have to be the case as much for a few years.

With IV it was console to PC port. Here they've got PC version with LOW quality settings only :P

Add future mods to V - ohh man...

IV I thought was a good optimized port imo, unlike Dark souls

All games are ports to console. Do you really think these games are made on console. It would be terrible making a game on any console.

Good? When and where?

RAGE engine wasnt optimised at all for PC power. It was for that crappy boxes with hardware from 2005...

If PC version is primary then it means they finally gonna use full potential of the CPU and GPU...

They would have to develop it on the PC either way..... Why would they try to reduce the quality they can deliver unless it was MEANT only for Console...

Making games for consoles is easier than for PC. Console still have same hardware inside as in their launch. With PC its harder due to many stuff. Remember on GTA 4 launch how AMD cards had problems with textures?

Consoles ARE NOT easier to dev for... than PC.

with about 6 weeks training, 3 pieces of free software and about 6 months of dedication you can pull out a moderate game for PC.

Consoles however require different coding, licensing and about 5 years of industry experience (On current gen(xbox360, wii U, ps3))

Most companies have the codes already from their previous games released on consoles and if needed they add something to it. Licences is always required and thats the point why V PC version isnt out yet. Sony and MS have a deal with Take2 that for some period of time they arent allowed to speak about PC version...

Soo how is it playing console port on LOW settings?
