Arma 3 Alpha release date announced

Not sure if anyone on these forums plays any games from the Arma franchise, but here is a bit of news pertaining to the Alpha.

Announced on February 26th, Arma 3's open alpha date was set for March 5 2013.

Giving only 1 week of short notice prior to a gap of no updates from developers.

This is great news for anyone interested in picking up the new military sim.

You can access the Alpha gameplay through purchasing either of three varied packages or receiving an invite to the Lite alpha version.

Packages are priced as followed:

For free Lite Alpha (invite code only) Will include

Access to the limited alpha release

There will be no multiplayer or modding available to this package

However a limited scenario editor will still be available.

The Alpha Lite will not grant you access to the beta or full game.

The Alpha Lite keys will only work between March 14 2013 and June 18 2013.

For €24.99 (about $35 CAD) Alpha includes

Access to the alpha, beta and the full game when released.

3 Alpha Lite invite codes

For €39.99 (about $55 CAD) Digital Deluxe Edition includes

Access to the alpha, beta and the full game when released.

For €69.99 (about $95 CAD) The Supporter Edition includes

Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

I'm totally excited I've been playing the arma series since flashpoint some 10+ years ago.

The only thing fair in life is between first and third.
