Windows 10 laptop shuts down after put to sleep/close lid

Hi guys, i have a problem regarding the sleep state of my laptop. My laptop is an Asus G501 (FHD version). I have this problem wherein every time i close the lid of my laptop, instead of going to sleep, it completely shuts down. I even observe the LED lights and the sleep indicator was blinking which means it should be in sleep mode. However, when i open the lid it restarts. Can anyone please help me.? Please don't suggest me to check the power settings and choose what the laptop should do when the lid is closed because i already tried all sorts of basic solutions to no avail. In other forums, they said that it has something to do with the boot order. I already reset my bios options back to default but it is still not working. Can anyone suggest a fix?

oh and another thing,

I recently transferred my Windows 10 OS from a 1TB 5400 Rpm HDD to a Samsung 850 evo 250GB M.2 SSD. by using the samsung data migration software.

Thank you advance to all :(

I think there's a way other than reinstalling the operating system. This is the second time i migrated my OS from an HDD and it this thing did not happen to me during the first time.

Have you checked your settings to make sure?

Check power management settings in Windows.

Check BIOS/UEFI for power or ACPI settings.

That said, clean install is king, I'm having multiple issues with my Win7>Win10 migration and I know they'll disappear when I refresh the install.
