What is this connector's use?

So, I am building my PC right now, but I have encountered a problem due to my lack of knowledge :c

There is a connector that is attached to my H440 from somewhere but I don't know it's purpose.

I assume that it is to extend or connect cables but I still don't knw where it would go on my motherboard (Which, if helpful, is an ASUS Z97-AR).

This is what it looks like:

Can I just leave it without anything connected?

Thank you both very much

Yes, there's no issue with leaving it un-connected
