Potential leak of new GeForce GTX 1000 series cooler shroud

With Nvidia's Pascal architecture on the horizon, we've gotten leaks of images that could show off the new cooler that will be at least paired with the higher end GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 models.

If these images are real, we're looking at the first real photos of NVIDIA's Pascal-based video cards. These images could easily be faked or created for the purposes of getting us all excited, but if it is real - it looks very similar to the GTX Titan X and GTX 980 Ti coolers, except it looks more fierce. It has a military feel to it and reminds me of ASUS ROG hardware.

 

 

Personally, I do like the look of the design, particularly if it's a matte finish, but with the recent admission of the faked Wii U controller that was 3D printed, the actual product does look to me like it has that sort of printed feel to it. It shouldn't take long to see if it's real or not though, with Nvidia's GPU Technology Conference in about a week's time.

That looks quite well made, but it does not seem like something nvidia would make... sort of feels tacky compared to the current reference cards, but I could be proven wrong.

 

This also continues with the current naming scheme, and it is possible that nvidia will change it up as having the gtx 1080 may confuse consumers...

Highly doubt it. Looks tacky and much less intricate compared to a standard reference cooler shroud. Not to mention that Nvidia would never spend that much metal on the shroud, it would be a lot thinner. Plus I'm 90% sure they aren't milled aluminum, they are probably cast or press formed. Costs would skyrocket and it'd be an Apple product if they were machine milled like in that photo.
