Most expensive thing in your setup?

Goodman2265

My most expencive part was my gigabyte gtx 980 ti xtreme windforce card followed by my 34" ultrawide 1440p curved monitor.

To join the discussion about power usage, my setup should draw about 2,91KWh/day so 873KWh/year. With power costing roughly €0,16/KWh (the average of the times I use it at with daytime being more expencive and night time being cheaper but €0,16 should be the average) this would result in a yearly powerbill of roughly €139,68 only because of my PC, not to mention all the other junk I have hooked up. Past year we had an increase in power usage of 1/6th through the whole house just because I went from a 3570/650 ti boost system to an overclocked 3770k/970 system and now I've moved upto a 980 ti which consumes waaaaay more power. Combined with my new monitor it should see another increase of 1/6th over the year :P

PC wise, the GPU is the most expensive component for what I spent, but my money mainly goes on the hifi hobby.

In terms of actual retail cost, my most expensive component is my marantz receiver at about a $900 dollar value. I got a sweet discount through work though and paid less, so if that doesn't count, my 5930k would be the next highest cost item.

My motherboard. I didn't think things through when I picked it out and I really don't need one as expensive as the one I got.
