Fanless rig

flimsy888

He doesn't need 120GB. The PSU is a waste of money since a PSU fans ramps up only in load, this system hasn't got any load, so it will be silent.

He says he wants a fanless, silent build with an SSD for 400$. I delivered ;)

Still there is cheaper better option - the lowest Corsair RM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139052&nm_mc=OTC-RSS&cm_sp=OTC-RSS-_-Power%20Supplies-_-Corsair-_-N82E16817139052), which has a fan that doesn't spin at all until 40% load. Also it won't explode if you put some load on it :D.

added ssd, now price is way over, sorry, its best i can do without sacrificing passive cooling and performance

there is 9 components you want, if one costs 50$ average, you are allready over budget ( 450 ), so you see how hard is to meet all your requirements

you just cant go any lower, unless you take APU, but i urge you not to, unless you wait till january when kaveri releases

Maybe this:http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

Not exactly fanless but it is only one fan on the GPU and you will game a lil bit as you said you need that fan and when not just put it to 25% using Afterburner in order to keep the sound to minimum.

Plus some money left if you want to buy some silent Corsair fans for exhausts(top and back)(Just saying)

Best APU (CPU + GPU), most silent CPU cooler, the storage for that price range better go with HDD cause SSD has low capacity and high price, power supply very quiet (I have one and the only noise that is perceptible on my PC is the Intel stock cooler).

Here you go! 100% passive, no fans at all. Has an SSD and comes in at exactly 400$. Not the best for gaming, but you can do a little and it will handle browsing fine.
