@ShadowCaptain Thanks a lot mahn! So i have come to a conclusion after some reading and information that i gained through you that the motherboards these days dont have onboard graphocs and i require to BUY a CPU with iGPU or a CPU(Without an iGPU) and a discrete graphic card in order to get the display running! Hope this conclusion is correct? Thanks in advance!

Correct

Hey people,

I have a question actually! Is it necessary to have a discrete graphic card or is it to okay to have a CPU but without an iGPU(or a gpu in it) in order to get display.

If the CPU has no integrated graphics, and you dont have a graphics card, then you cannot connect a display

Do you have to have a iGPU event if you want to display just text?

@ShadowCaptain But what about having a motherboard with Onboard Graphics? Wpuld that help?

Yes, there has to be some sort of graphics chip, either part of the CPU, an APU, on the board, or a dedicated GPU

if you have no iGPU (and no dedi GPU) there will be no monitor connection on the motherboard at all

modern motherboards do not have a GPU on board, the ports are there for the integrated graphics chip built into AMD/Intel CPUs

Why are you buying a CPU without an iGPU, all modern intel CPUs (consumer grade pentiums, i3,i5,i7) have iGPUs built in, and they are useful  to have anyway as you can use intel quicksync for many tasks such as OBS recording etc

(xeons/x99 and some speciality chips like the P chips do not have iGPU but 90% do)

or you can use the intel iGPU (or amd) to run a PC without requiring a dedicated card

Curious why you are asking?

Not true X99 doesn´t in fact all enthusiast platforms don´t from intel, only consumer grade CPUs do have an iGPU.

sorry I should have clarified, correct Xeons, X99 etc do not, i will add that to my post to avoid confusion

@ShadowCaptain Thanks a lot first! This question into my mind whn i saw this video of Jayz2cents where he said that AMD's FX-8350 doesnt have integreated graphics so we require a discrete graphic card in order to run the display!

Correct, FX CPUs do not have a iGPU, and are not an APU so you require a dedicated graphics card to get ANY display
