Can a xeon e7 run on an x79 motherboard?

So,  as some of you may know,  i recently got my hands on an e7 2890v2's.

Problem is,  intel says they require the c602j chipset to run (wont run on c602 or x79). Those boards are expensive AF.

But ive recently found conflicting information stating that aome ivy bridge e7's might run on x79/c602.

Since this is  all lga 2011, i would assume they would all be compatible,  but most boards state support up to e5 xeons.

Did intel really make a separate chipset for e7's?  Will they boot on a typical x79 board?

Can someone help me get rid of the doubt im having?

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

You could try to put one of those in a x79 board idk if it will boot, but it dies seem like  intel did create the c602j chipset specifically for the e7 line, and x79 only supports sandy-bridge e5  xeons and those are ivy-bridge e7s.

Ok,  i will try to find a cheap used x79 mobo,  but the problem is all the conflicting information i find online.

i found out a few things : first of all ,even though xeons e7 say they are compatible with lga 2011 , they actually use lga 2011-1 ( not 2011 , not 2011-3 : the pin layout is different ) . so no , it won't work..

you need a c602j motherboard

Nope.  The cheapest i could find were about 300$.

The problem  is that you can only find new equipment on the market because the lga 2011-1 platform is relatively new.  So you pay the price of server gear.
