EDIT2: Holy crap, the comment section has gone crazy about something I didn't even notice in my post

EDIT: @LinusTech I'd rather you have a premium channel for early access than Vessel. Only reason ppl go on vessel is for you


Just got this email from Vessel.

The fact that Linus is all over this email, makes me think 99% of people on Vessel only go on Vessel because of Linus...
BTW this picture made me realize exactly how small Linus is, especially since Dennis, who's asian, is taller than him (or same height, can't tell because they aren't standing straight)

Got the same email and had the same initial thought, however they also may tailor the email based on what you view, really wouldn't surprise me.

I also think this is true. I looked at other big Youtubers and they only have like 50 comments and 300 likes when linus has 600 comments and 3K likes

Most likely cause he´s probably the only one who pushed hard for it, with the 1 week early videos and all. Other´s (Like seananners) would have videos uploaded at the same time, or only a day early at best.

I was not happy when I read the new series will only be available in Vessel, Unless Vessel themselves paid for that series in it's entirety, in that case I have no problem with it being exclusive.

I mean, at first it was only for a week early. but thats kinda lame tbh. since you guys said many times that people were wrong to be angry as they though you guys would publish content to vessel only, or have exclusives.

yea that makes me really sad especially since linus promised that people who only use youtube wont miss out on anything ... well i guess he only promised that for the main channel and not channel super fun

Maybe for you, but everyone outside of the USA cannot get YouTube red. So for people like me, Vessel is a great idea. Infact i just paid my $20 yearly subscription a few minutes ago. having add free videos are nice.

well this is from vessel not linus so im not taking it as fact yet and there are circumstances where i would think its completely fine like if vessel provided the funding for the video like the youtube red exclusive content. but if linus or someone not affiliated with vessel put together the funding for the video and only released it on vessel i guess i would feel that its a breach of integrity

I understand they have to make a living but I absolutely refuse to pay for a video streaming service only to watch one piece of content. It's like paying for Netflix only to watch one series of interest like House of Cards as the rest are on a free ad supported platform.

 

This is exactly the reason why piracy exist. People want content but the owners refuse to provide it on accessible and/or reasonable platforms for any number of reasons.

To clarify, this is not a Channel Super Fun series. That was a mistake in their copy. Nerd Sports is its own entity under Linus Media Group, and all future copy will reflect that.

This is a content idea that we had that would not have been possible without external support, and Vessel stepped up to the plate to support its creation.
