Posted March 10, 2016 CPU: i5-4690k@4.2GHz GPU: evga 980 x 2 RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB 1333MHz I've had a DK2 for about a year and have been thoroughly enjoying it. A single 980 drives it just fine but I got a 2nd one in anticipation of nVidia supporting SLI for VR using a card for each eye. I didn't preorder either production headset partly because I don't really have a problem with the DK2's resolution or lenses. I know they can be better but Oculus has claimed that the DK2 will be compatible with at least runtime 1.0 and I want to get as much use out of it as possible. I'm leaning more toward the Vive at this point because I don't really have a lot of faith that Oculus Home will take off as a serious gaming platform. I'm a die hard Steam user with a 12 year old account and when it comes down to it games like portal and half life are what I'm excited for on VR, not whatever random game devs Facebook is going to round up for Oculus. I tried the Valkyrie alpha and while it was cool, it's not a reason in and of itself that I would want to start using an entirely separate platform like Oculus Home to play games on. On the other side of that argument though, I don't really want to have to relegate part of my house to be a "VR zone" and the controllers look clunky and heavy. I've been playing TF2 in VR basically since I got the DK2 and I'd really rather play games like that with a keyboard and mouse still, using the VR headset to be able to look around / follow enemies with my eyes. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) Rig name: Game CPU: I7-3770k @5.5GHz GPU: MSI GTX970 4GB Ram: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Score: 5.8 notes: my system used to be VR ready, not sure why a GTX 970 is no longer enough, it used to be.. also, not running the latest driver, due to a lot of talk about crashes, so i'm waiting for the next driver before updating. EDIT Rig name: Game CPU: I7-3770k @5.5GHz GPU: MSI GTX970 4GB Ram: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Score: 6 simply closing my music player, helped make it be VR ready. i might update again when i update my graphics driver, and try overclocking my card a small amount. EDIT 2 Rig name: Game CPU: I7-3770k @5.5GHz GPU: MSI GTX970 4GB Ram: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance Score: 6.4 a small overclock makes a huge difference to the test, i did a 115 MHz overclock on both memory and core, and got a 0.4 increase in my score. so i can recommend trying an overclock if it's on capable, but close to ready. Edited March 10, 2016 by Pesoen tried overclocking, to see how it affects results.
