Slightly late to the party, but here is my system:

The Gibson

Xeon L5520 overclocked to 3 ghz (stable up to 3.4 but I don't like going above 60 degrees on this antique)

MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb

16 gigs Mushkin DDR3 1333 (2 x 8 Gb DIMMs)

image.png.79fb1c3f206a28c696b8840d13374235.png

Not sure why it wants me to update my graphics card drivers and close other programs, nothing else was open at the time and I have the latest drivers as of December 31st 2017

That sounds a bit wired that you have 2 cpu bounds frames. Where i had none with a much older cpu and the same gpu type. Is your cpu overclock?

Se my result just above yours.

No, currently my CPU is running at stock speeds.

I don't get it either. My old FX 8350 had none :)

Edit: Run the test 2 more times, both times without any CPU bound frames.

That sounds really wired. Dit you run your fx 8350 with a gtx 1080 ti with out cpu bounds frames?

If yes it is deffently not adding up. As my and your intel cpu is more powerful than your old amd cpu. Your 5930K shut not be cpu bound at all, a cording to what i know.

Some thing is not adding up.

No, the old system had a fx8350 paired with a r9 295x2.

Maybe windows did something in the background which caused the hiccup.

Or it was just the lacking consistency of the test. Like i said, the following two runs had none.
