Check on background processes (programmes) using excessive CPU resources also.

Not too worried about it. I only did it out of pure curiosity as I have no intention of getting into VR any time soon. Not until I can move around with no cords.

The other weird thing is that Enigmo a few posts up has the same processor (just not the K version) and got no errors on it...meh whatever.

If you had about 20 Google Chrome instances or something running that was CPU intensive at the same time, that result would be understandable.

Yes, I wouldn't worry about it. It was like coincidental.

My gaming rig was completely VR Ready. I was using the Alienware 15 R2 which has an Intel i7-6700HQ CPU and 16 gigs of ram with the Alienware graphics amplifier which had a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition in it, even though the performance test says it was using my integrated Intel graphics.

Honestly, it performed way better than expected. This is my first build, (Which LTT helped a lot with.) and I decided to get a 3gb instead of a 6gb so I could already start saving up for my dream computer I am building next year.

CPU: FX-6300 Overclocked @ 4.4GHz

GPU: GTX 1070

RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 1600 Overclocked to 1640MHz

I'm very well aware the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU as well, wasn't ready to build a new system but was far over due for a graphics card upgrade. Overall performance is similar to a 6700k paired with an RX 480. Won't be upgrading to Ryzen unfortunately because of the lack of support for older OS, I still want to dual boot 7 and 10, 7 for games like Skyrim with mods that themselves aren't compatible with Windows 10.

I'll be looking to upgrade to 6800k or Skylake-X (7800k?) depending on how intel reacts to Ryzen with price cuts.

That's stupid, why aren't you just using a virtual machine with Windows 7? Or perhaps an older PC? It should do just fine. Why would you go trough the pain of using such an old OS in 2017? Why is that an excuse to not go for AMD. What the hell are you doing LMAO
