I'm really impressed by how well your did, I have a r9-290(non-x) with 16GB ram and a 5930K @ 4.3Ghz and I socred just under ready in the 'capable'

range

EDIT: I just re-ran the test without 4 thousand different applications running in the background and I score in read, barely though.

Rig Specs:

CPU: i7-5930K @ 4.3Ghz

RAM: 16GB 4x4GB 2133Mhz (quad channel)

GPU: r9-290 @ 1Ghz

OS: 8.1Pro

Score: 6.4

I'm surprised how low the fidelity is compared to most people running a 290 or 290x, Odd as I did this test after a restart with no background programs.

Either way I'll be upgrading to HBM2 this year

Well if you only encourage users whos rig is intended to use for VR than the results will be higher than that 9% of course.

The Steam hardware survey counts every pc, which is not so precise too.

I would count every active/primary PC used for Gaming, so that everyones "best" PC is counted.
I use my pc for Gaming, but i'm not anywhere near VR.

CPU: i7 5820k

GPU: 2X GTX 980's

RAM: 16 gigs, 4X4 ADATA DDR4.

All running on a 500gig Samsung 840 evo. (Moving to an M.2 256gig 950Pro for my boot drive this weekend)

Apparently my i7 5820k and 2X 980's in SLI are not ready for VR. Perhaps this tool's a bit wonky eh?

The Oculus tool says otherwise though. I'm just not ready for Steam VR I guess.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay so after updating my driver & changing my resolution from 2160p to 1080p I was able to bump up my score significantly. Considering the "VR" part of VR is taking place on the screen embedded in the goggles I don't think that should have shat on my score so much.

I went from 100% not ready to ready by simply changing my resolution. (Note, the tool ran at the same window size regardless of the actual screen resolution) These results are likely skewed by these kinds of issues.

Here's my results after changing my resolution.

okaynowIcanvr.PNG.e6d258290a62d856cb32a5

EDIT2: Nope, it just really hated that driver. I achieved the same score at 2160p with the latest drivers :/ go figure. It's not like they were super old or something.

score seems to be affected greatly by your global video card settings, if you got everything cranked to shiat your score goes way down but if u kill all the options u get better scores, my 1st test was a fail 2nd test after changing my settings to this got me to 7.4
