where to get amd drivers ?

well now the card is gone again...... well time to reseat again and hope it shows its face again, and why would it say no drivers ? i literally just downloaded the drivers.... ughh why is this so dam complicated

It sounds like windows is installing a generic vga driver for the card. try installing the 15.7.1 version of the drivers after using this http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx  too clear out any bad remains of previous broken driver installs.

Its' the nVidia drivers kicking in to NOT let you install the AMD GPU drivers -- software to hardware conflict.

 

I had to remove my two HD 7970's and the AMD drivers to test out a GTX 760 for a friend.

The nVidia drivers leaves behind so many extra bits and pieces, once uninstalled, that is causes Windows warning messages when I install my HD 7970's back in, and try to install the AMD drivers. I didn't have much problem going from AMD to nVidia; the "Express uninstall" pretty much completely removes all AMD driver files at one go. Going back from nVidia and AMD took a bit more time. 

 

 

As already mentioned, the AMD graphics drivers are within the "Catalyst Software Suite."

 

The AMD HD 5000 series is now moved into the 'Legacy' support, and will no longer receive frequent updates -- these cards are already optimized to their fullest; there's nothing more to improve on (other than bugs that pop up...even after like 5+ years).

 

The HD 5000 series will support the Crimson 16.2.1 Beta drivers. That is the latest that is currently available -- and may only be the most recent available for the next little while. Either 15.7.1 or 16.2.1 Beta will work -- 15.7.1 being the Windows certified, stable driver.

i dont really understand this... is the catalyst software suite an app ? or is it the driver ? like do i have to open and install the driver through it or just downlaod the suite ands its done ? cause its installed and nothing is happening

If I had to guess its because Windows derping out from when you pressed "detect hardware changes"(it probably didn't detect your card properly and is now set to ignore your card), so what I would do is remove the 5750 and start your computer(and log in), let it sit for about 5 minutes(just so its fully booted), then turn it off and reinstall the card.(by doing this it should clear the setting that ignores your card). When you start it again, do not press "detect net hardware" or anything else, just doubleclick the "amd-catalyst-15.7.1-win10-64bit.exe" and follow the on screen steps, and it should install. The installation process for AMD drivers is exactly the same as it is for nVidia drivers, so it should be fairly familiar. Also nVidia doesn't block AMD cards from running in the same system, currently using a 980 and 5770 together(although I'm on Win 7).
