is my gtx 570 bottle necking my cpu

okay so when i play beam.ng drive it runs smoothly at 100fps on the grid map but my cpu is 100% is my gpu bottlenecking my cpu or other way around

If it runs at 100% , cpu is bottlenecking , not gpu's fault . Also , what is the gpu usage ?

Are you plugged into the GPU because if you display is plugged into the motherboard it will run of CPU graphics and cause high usage

Generally speaking, you want a GPU bottleneck - that's how most people systems just tend to be, and that results in a smoother experience; CPU bottlenecks tend to cause very erratic frame times and thus stutter

thats whats happening, frame rate drops and all, really wanna solve the problem

Yeah. Performance wise the card is extremely old but I wouldn't expect a bottleneck, the age of both matches both. You really should upgrade everything.

Not quite, it's more like a 750ti - 950.  The 560ti is about even with a 750ti except with less vRAM and more cores (I've owned both cards) - in gaming scenarios it comes out about even.

 

I'd say Drive can be a pretty CPU intensive game with a lot going on, but the cpu and gpu are pretty even in this case.

its debatable if the GPU is overclocked I'd say 

I couldn't find any 570 benchmarks to back it up

If you want to do a sort of incremental upgrade and salvage some parts like the RAM, Haswell would be a more economical upgrade.  Skylake if you're going to build entirely new/sell your current PC.

Well z170 has XMP available, so if you wish to have higher then 2333mhz frequency ddr4 RAM, you'd need a z170 board. Don't quote me on that do.
