At this point, I do not have anyone in mind because I disagree with all of them in some fashion. I know people will tell me that one vote could make a difference, but I have no desire to deal with politics at this point. Religion and politics can both end up with people pissing on each other as I have seen, as they both get very heated when people debate them.

Now evading taxes or getting tax exempts etc? No. They shouldn't be allowed to do that at all and that's not what I'm talking about. 1) The world isn't perfect so let's not even discuss perfect world scenarios. Reality is the rich that evade the most.

 

2) Following the same reasoning in 1) it is actually not at all accurate to call the fortunes of virtually all really wealthy people a byproduct of hard work. It's a byproduct of exploiting new markets, new ideas, being the first and in some cases exploiting people. This happened decades and sometimes hundreds of years ago and most of those wealthy families just inherit their wealth and pay others to run investments, sit on board of directors, etc.

 

True capitalism it's a fucking fallacy since almost nobody is going for true innovation, true aggressive competition, the true enterprise spirit. It's just all about the wealthy guarding their pre-existing fortunes and making them bigger.

1. Not all rich people are scumbags. And if you start taxing the rich more because they have more, they are also targeted.
2. True, but the solution isn't punishing the rich because they are rich.
3. That is what you are essentially saying. They have no obligation, even by morals (and I agree, they should want to do that instead), to help anyone or to not buy what they want with their money. The solution to them dodging taxes etc should definitely be found and applied, but they should not be taxed more than others simply because they have more.

Come the presidential election I might devote the whole day to watching the coverage, may even take the day off work. Of course if Trump wins, I will have to call my boss and explain I'm not coming back to work as I have to build a bunker and stock up on tinned goods.

 

I think Clinton will win, and from a not starting WW3 point of view, probably a safe choice. But she is the more of the same, business as usual, candidate, not really what US and most western democracies are craving at the moment.

This'll be my last response because everyone is ignoring me. I'll never figure that out, it happens on every platform whenever politics are involved. The problem is that it's wrong for rich people to buy votes from government. Alot of people are saying that the solution is to reduce the amount of wealth that can be had, but in reality corrupt politicians are always going to want whatever wealth is out there, regardless of whether or not it is a smaller amount of wealth than it was yesterday. The only possible solution is to prevent any government officials from accepting money in exchange for votes to begin with. In other words, the only solution to "money = power" is to eliminate corruption from government. Rich people cannot do evil through government if government will not allow it.

I'm not an american but I follow it pretty closely because honestly it's hilarious. It's always fun to see a bunch of higher ups personal insulting each other to win voters with Trump at the center of everything

I personally don't think Trump as a president will be a good idea because he will probably be the reason for WW3 as his whole concept is essentially detach america and trample over others. Not to mention him pretty much bringing back discrimination with muslims losing all the Middle East support america has already

I am not American so of course I can't vote.  If I could though I would vote for Trump just to see what other shit he would pull out his ass.  I wonder how he would get all of our Muslim friends out of America.  He doesn't even know what the Nuclear Triad is, come on!  You can't run a country if you have literally no idea what you are doing and your pretty much only aim is to ban Muslims, which makes pretty much no sense.  I just don't see why Obama can't stay, everyone else doesn't seem to good other than Bernie

This is going to be the first election that I can vote in.... And I really don't want to vote anybody. I WAS going to vote for Rand Paul, but that's out of the question. I may go Cruz or Kasich now. In the primaries if it comes down to Clinton vs Trump, I may as well roll dice to see who gets the highest number, because they're both bad candidates IMO. Now if it comes down to Sanders vs Trump, I may go Sanders... I disagree with a lot of the stuff he preaches, but he's a more honest candidate.

Yea, he does need someone to work on his website but if you think about it, it isn't all that bad. I kinda like the simplicity of it though. He doesn't need an ultra nice looking site as long as his ideals are supreme. <33
