How To Laptop Server

I was doing some digging around to find out how to turn an old laptop into a multiple use home server.

So I am asking you guys to help me find out how to setup a laptop server.

I will use the server for nothing in particular but I would maybe like to run a small website on it and maybe use it for storage.

Thank You in advance.

First of all,  perform all necessary maintenance on it: update drivers and bios,  clean fans/heatsinks and replace  thermal paste,  etc.

Plug it into the network and that's it. Share your drives so they can be accessed over the network, and you'll need to portforward for website hosting.

Just bear in mind, you'll need a domain name that is set up to point to your IP. ISPs don't like you hosting home servers, and home IP addresses tend to change from time to time.

Laptop: Asus GA502DU

RAM: 16GB DDR4 | CPU: Ryzen 3750H | GPU: GTX 1660ti
