You know how, after, say, two years, your smartphone seems to start getting a bit slow? You know how after, say, two years, your smarphone seems to be missing a few key features that all the new smartphones have now? How about battery life, does it seem too short? Not enough storage?

How about a phone that YOU customize when you buy it?

Or that you can replace just one part if it breaks or becomes out-dated?

Well, this guy wants to take care of that with PHONEBLOCKS!

BAMM!

Hows that for a modular phone?!

I recently upgraded my old iPhone 2G to an HTC One and am very happy with it. But THIS is, in my humble opinion, a GREAT idea!

Thought?

This is getting a bit out of hand; it feels like people are trolling at this point. Even if they aren't, it's really annoying. Maybe there should be a specific phonebloks stickied post until the craze dies down.

Edit: Everyone (not necessarily people on this forum, but the majority of people watching the video) should also realize we are very far from this tech (especially the part about the processing block being connected by 9 pins); the video was made by designers, not engineers.

If someone has the word Phone Blok in the topic, they should not be allowed to post it. -.-

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

I do think maybe we need to consider any new phone block post as spam....

Well, each time I merge them there is just 1 thread again.

you should pin a "amd vs intel" topic too (not sure if there is one already but i saw another one created earlier today)

OT: (to make da man happy) REALLLY want this c:

This thread is seeming prertty damn modular with all the additions we've made to it ._. all 15 of them....

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball
