The only reason games are pushed to market and we as customers are given an unfinished product is that it's allowed.

i paid 12$ for a key on G2A and it was worth every penny...one of the best games of 2015 IMHO along with dying light and GTA 5.

I won't, I refuse to reward them. If I hadn't preordered Fallout 4 (I swear it's the last time I ever will, I was weak) I wouldn't have bought that steaming pile of crap, and it's one of my favorite games.

 

I worked for a developer, they know when it's done. If this trend continues were going to drop from beta, to alpha. *looks a Ashes of the Singularity* FUCK...

Truer words have not been spoken. And they spend money, lots of money. The developer I worked for openly catered to them. We had people with rigs like mine playing at low settings to be competitive.

So I just ran a quick benchmark in Star Wars: Battlfront comparing my Gigaybte GTX 970 G1 Gaming with my brother's HIS R9 390 IceQ X². I downclocked my i7-4770k to 3,4 Ghz, my 8 GB of RAM to 1600 MHz, and I deactivated HT.

 

All settings on Ultra, motion blur 100%, FOV 60, screen refresh rate 144 Hz, 1080p.

However, the R9 390 dropped so many frames, the game at times almost felt unplayable, while the 970 had no issues whatsoever. I think I'll do some more testing, but for now I'm not gonna recommend getting a R9 390 with a locked i5.

The R9-390 performs really well....on an overclocked i7-6700K or 5960X. On the CPU's it's going to be used with, stock i5's mostly, the picture isn't as pretty.

That is pretty much the bottomline until DX12 becomes a thing.

that was a 2500k... not a 2600k.

 

extra threads and higher clockspeeds changes things up more then you think.

The 2500K was overclocked, and only a handful of games scale beyond 4 cores.

 

Lets atleast agree on the fact that "i7 or xeon" needs context.

*with a reference 970

 

On an i5 with both overclocked cards, the 390 will not leave the 970 in the dust.
