Motherboard slot matter?

Have an MSI x99a gamin 7 motherboard and the video card fits properly into more than one of the pci slots. Does it matter which one I use?

Did everyone see that? Because I will not be doing it again.

it runs at 16x, so you'll get the best performance

Its because it is a Pcie x16 slot which will allow for faster communication between the GPU and CPU.

Some are hard wired to run at a slower speed. Can see the contacts are missing.
