monitor Please Help Me Choose A Gaming Monitor

I was gaming on my laptop for a very long time, and I decided to step up and get a PC so I could run big games like Fallout 4 or The Devision on Medium or High Settings. I decided that I have enough money to afford a Digital Storm Vanquish Level 4, but I'm not sure what monitor I should get for, as I know nothing about this stuff. I don't want to spend more that $200, but the problem is that I don't even know the average price for a monitor . My budget is around $200, not more. All I want is a sharp picture and a good resolution. I'll be using a Nvidia GTX 980M. The desired size is around 17''-20''.
