Where will it be positioned? Above or below the AX series?

I think it should be lower, as it's 80plus gold only...

I'm going to say it'll be positioned below the AX___i series, due to not being "Platinum". Most, if not all PSU manufacturers/Re-rebranders sell Platinum rated PSUs as their top of the line product.

The regular ax750/850 are all 80plus gold, ax760/860 are 80plus platinum, including the axi series.

yes, you are right. But since AX series has 80 plus platinum psu as well, and RM is a completely new series, my guess is still it would be positioned lower than the AX series...

it looks like it'll be below both the regular AX series and the AX i series.

Can't say too much, but this is the first PSU I've been excited about in a while.

Is there a reason in particular?

Yes there's a reason. Can't say what it is.

I think it is the price. Altech HK listed the price as HKD$1,049, which is around $135, while ax760 is around $170. It could be a bit cheaper, or more expensive in the state....

This couldn't get much better.

Hmm that would fall in the price range of the silverstone gold evo. I'm not sure what to get! I heard sleeving cables on the silverstone is really easy compared to other though.

Yes there's a reason. Can't say what it is.

I know! Its because its silent or features to put the fan fully off if theres a really low load. If its something truly different I'm guessing it can be optionally watercooled?

40% load without fan seems pretty cool.

Even under full load it seems quite silent.

There was a blog post about connecting corsair RM power supplies to corsair link on the corsair website  last week but it had since been taken down. I wasn't sure what the RM power supplies were and though they might be an older model or an OEM model but I guess it was referring to this new power supply. THere were no pictures or details in the article though.

It being at sub 25 DB at full load is pretty damn silent, and comparing prices from the Hongkong site and newegg I guess this would be around $100 which is incredible. This is truly exciting.

Stuff I have I like: Moto G - Superlux HD681 Evo - Monoprice 9927

90% of what I say is sarcasm.

And I just bought the AX860... at least it's still an excellent PSU and I got it for a good price ($150).
