Razer Blade Stealth?

Are Razer laptops paying a lot for the brand instead of performance?

I'm wondering because the Blade Stealth looks nice for the price.

If it is just branding then what is a good 1000-1200 USD alternative?

(I need at least four cores, good battery life, on the lighter side, and I don't want anything above 15 inches in screen size.)

Thanks!

Stealth is dual core, and this one Razer product is actually priced pretty well for being an Ultrabook. I would look elsewhere, though. Something like the MSI GS30 is REALLY good for a great price. There are a few on eBay for good deals. http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS30-processor-Aluminum-13-3-Inch/dp/B00T7XRP4A/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1455230838&sr=1-2&keywords=gs30+shadow

i think you just pay a premium for just how it looks. the specs are overpriced for the price that they sell at.

Razer make very good quality laptops but you do pay a little bit more for the brand. They are worth it i think...

I am also in this predicament, I need a good size small laptop.

however, I have seen some good things like Lenovo Yoga series laptops, those are nice. As well, the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book are great. There are plenty of articles online.

Thanks for the speedy replies!

I guess I missed that this one was dual-cored...

I have seen the Lenovo laptops. They look like they have great value but I have heard about reliability problems.

The MSI ones look good, but they are absolutely massive.

The first one has a quad core and is only slightly heavier, thicker than the Razer. It also has the ability to add an external GPU.

Well, if you don't necessarily need a laptop, why not look into small form factor PC's?
